Vectra Diesel cut out the other day and now wont start at all?

Hi, My Vauxhall Vectra diesel cut out the other day while driving!!! Total loss of power!! Now it wont start at all. Its wierd as it was running fine?? Any clues. I hope it aint the fuel pump or its scraped. How can i check for other issues like seals etc. If anyone knows any links with photos that would be cool. Thanks
