Why is it a crisis when Iran might have nuclear weapons but not when Israel might?

I know that we aren't on good terms with Iran but its reasons like this that Iran is hostile to the USA. Israel may have had them for years but we haven't even called a search, just left it at not knowing. But when there is a chance that Iran may we suddenly think that we need to stop them? Why do we let Israel get away with things like this but not Iran?

What is a VPN?
